The educational offer
What is it about?
Our educational program “Gegenwart trifft Zukunft” is an interactive technology and future day designed to bring technologies to life for schoolchildren, trainees and students. The focus here is on trying out, applying and tinkering.
The program currently consists of four different workshops:

Goal & target group
With our learning experiences, we want to give young people the opportunity to try out and apply new technologies live. In our workshops, we teach the first basics about the technologies and also outline the significance of the technologies for professions and the world of work. The educational offer is suitable for pupils from 10th grade, trainees and students.

Workshop Overview
- AR/VR/Metaverse: What is AR, VR & XR all about? What is the significance of these technologies in the STEM field? Together, we look at the opportunities and dangers of immersive technologies and the metaverse. One version of the future is: everything is merging, becoming one. AR, social media, social score, networking as a new hyper-reality. Utopia or dystopia? How do you want to shape your future? We want to experience all of this with you in practice and will immerse ourselves in the virtual world together with VR glasses as a basis for discussion.
- 5G autonomous logistics: What is 5G? Why is 5G so important for autonomous robots? You can find it out in this workshop and experience our autonomously driving robots, including their route planning, evasive maneuvers and emergency braking, up close. But you can also get active yourself: in our robot workshop you can assemble a robot on your own and then compete in the rally.
- 3D printing: You are interested in 3D printing and want to know how you can create and print a design with simple means? We will teach you in a simple way. The session consists of a small theory part and a practical part. You will model your own 3D object. Your object will be printed and sent to you.
- Lego Serious Play Workshop on the Future of Work: Together with you we don’t just want to talk about futures, we want to build them. We will support you in giving shape to your thoughts in the form of Lego bricks and sharing them with each other.
- Technology ethics – risks & side effects of new technologies: Whether it’s your smartphone, the new fitness watch or the chatbot – (new) technologies increasingly accompany our everyday life and are supposed to support us and make our lives easier. But do they do so, and if so, under what conditions and at what price? We want to take a critical look at this together with you, take a technology as an example and examine it value-oriented for risks and side effects with an established method from technology research and development.
