Successful summer kick-off at WvSC

On Tuesday, 8 July, the Werner-von-Siemens Centre for Industry and Science e. V. (WvSC) celebrated its traditional summer kick-off together with over 130 members, supporters and partners, sending a powerful signal for a committed and vibrant community at the future location Siemensstadt Square.

The event began with exciting insights into the current development of the WvSC: CEO Erik Wiegard and CFO Raphael Hell presented highlights from the ongoing research and innovation projects, introduced the newly founded Industry Startup Hub and gave an overview of educational programmes with a focus on transformation support and leadership skills. Together, they ventured a look into the future with its challenges, opportunities and new subject areas.

A special highlight was the official launch of our innovation circles. In four topic-specific networking rounds, participants engaged in targeted dialogue under the motto ‘AI seeks IQ’. These open formats not only kicked off the structured dialogue in the future innovation circles, but also generated initial ideas, challenges and concrete working theses – a strong foundation for new projects and collaborations.

Of course, there was no shortage of socialising either: after the content part, a summer BBQ with delicious grilled food and refreshing drinks invited everyone to continue the exchange and socialise.

Whether industry, science, research, start-ups or SMEs – they all celebrated togetherness and cooperation on this day. After all, it is only through commitment, openness and a shared mindset that a place can be created where the future is shaped.
